Kathy Miller is a native of Columbus, and grew up on the east side of town. As the new Executive Director of the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community, she is right at home on the campus in Reynoldsburg. After graduating from high school, Kathy joined the Air Force as a linguist. She spent 12 ½ years in the Air Force, doing three tours in Korea and otherwise being stationed in Maryland. She has a degree in Business Management through the University of Maryland and an Associates Degree in Interpreting and Translating through the Community College of the Air Force. Upon leaving the Air Force, she began working as the Corporate Director of Customer Service for a large furniture store in the DC area and stayed there for 7 years until she returned to the Columbus area. Kathy began her 11- year career with Methodist ElderCare Services as the Marketing Coordinator for the Wesley Ridge campus handling the Bishop Place assisted-living apartments and the Ridge Home independent-living condominiums. From there, Kathy became the Director of Administrative Services, a role that encompassed running several departments and being the Human Resources Coordinator, for Wesley Ridge. Most recently Kathy had moved on to Corporate Director of Human Resource Development for all of Methodist ElderCare Services. Her unique strengths in both marketing and day-to-day operations will be a tremendous asset to the Wesley Ridge team. “I have loved being a part of this campus as it has grown and I feel like I am coming back home. Having the operational and marketing knowledge of the campus has helped with the transition and I am looking to reconnecting with the residents and their families,” said Kathy.
