Through good economic times and bad, Methodist ElderCare Services has been a constant in providing quality housing, health care and services to seniors in a Christian community setting since 1969. Wesley Glen will celebrate 42 years of ministry to older adults in December of 2011.
In addition to the celebration of the 42nd anniversary, there are many other accolades for Wesley Glen. The Assisted Living received the Readers Choice Award in 2010 by the Readers of Suburban News Paper in Central Ohio. The Health Center received a "5 Star Rating" from the Ohio Department of Health, which included the highest rating within a 50 mile radius. The Assisted Living and Special Care areas at Wesley Glen have received the rating of "zero deficiency" in 2010, which is the highest rating possible. Also, Wesley Glen received an EAGLE accreditation from the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. The accreditation is widely regarded as the "seal of approval".
On November 18th, 2010 Wesley Glen broke ground on a new Wellness Center and construction continues at a fast pace. The goal is to enhance the lifestyle for the residents of the Wesley Glen community. At the completion of construction early in 2012, the Wellness Center will provide the residents with an aquatic pool, therapy pool, multi-purpose room, juice bar, health clinic, conference room, fitness center and space for occupational and physical therapy. These services and amenities are examples of Wesley Glen's commitment to quality services and care to which are provided to our residents. Hospice Services are also on the horizon.
